Bitfex collects information from our users when they create their account on our website or app, when they request copies of publications, when they respond to a survey that we run or fill in forms on our website, seek additional information regarding our services, from public sources, from examination of public and private blockchains, from third parties who are entitled to disclose that information to us and when they apply for a job with us. Some of the forms for Bitfex registration, enrolment, account setup, and other purposes may ask users to give us contact information, unique personal identifiers, financial information, subject areas of interest, and/or demographic information.
In some cases, we may be mandated by law to collect certain types of personal data about users.
Wherever we collect personal data from our users, it will generally be done from our end. However, in some cases we may collect personal data from a third party, such as through our users’ representatives, contractors who provide services to us or third party who act as referral to us.

Except where prohibited by law, this period may extend beyond the end of your relationship with for so long as is necessary for audit or other accounting or regulatory purposes. When Personal Data are no longer needed we have procedures either to destroy, delete, erase or convert it to an anonymous form.
After you have terminated your use of our Services, we reserve the right to maintain your Personal Data as part of our standard back up procedures in an aggregated format.
It is obligatory for the Company to process your Personal Data for the Core Purpose as stated above, without which some services or features provided by us may be affected. If we do not have your consent to process your Personal Data for the Ancillary Purposes, we will not be able to keep you updated about our future, new and/or enhanced services and products.
